Josephine B, one of Ska's group, had a beautiful feathered costume. She showed particularly precise and controlled movements in her performance. She is only young, and will certainly be someone to watch for in future as she matures.

Timo, also from Ska's group, did a mad waiter act on a unicycle. His expression was particuarly fierce. He reminded me of waiters that I would prefer to avoid if I was having a gentle night out. My heart was in my mouth as he accelerated between the tables with full trays of drinks, or as he ascended a ladder, on his unicycle, blindfold. A hilarious act, which was worth every second spent away from contortion.  

At the end of the Gala, we had a real treat - nine contortionists all on stage at once, performing. A beautiful sight.
